How can you get the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft for free! (Mojang News post)

It appears to be a preemptive post, there's no redeem button on the Mojang account page as of now. I'm guessing it will be available by the time of launch.

Edit The redeem button has been activated for me and many others! You can check it out! 9j8pupC.png

Works for me:

It's so tragic for their support department.

I get to the redeem button on Microsoft's account and billing page however, it says there's an error. Is there a deadline for redemption?

Windows 10 is being rolled out "today"/"tomorrow" according to where you are. The button should be accessible at 12:01 in the morning of Wednesday, Sweden time.

Also not seeing a Redeem button. Can't wait for tomorrow, though!

For those who need Windows 10:

Manual installation now available here

Direct Links

32bit exe

64bit exe

If you have an addon that allows you to force https to open, you must do it in , for example as the link is only http.

Download the application.

Run it and follow the steps. It will format your USB drive or disk, allowing you to install.

Open the drive you installed it on and launch the installer.

It will install and activate in a way that is automatic.

You can also save an ISO for later use, but make an in place update first so your key is activated.

I have tested the beta and it works perfectly. Now And Then Again

It was just delivered to me. It's amazing to see how efficient the game is. My computer's fans don't bother to turn on and the CPU is almost completely idle all the time.

Are there any game-play differences?

Yeah, if it runs flawlessly on mobile, you'd expect it to perform pretty good on PC too :)

It was just delivered. Singleplayer LOL 22 200mb and 2 % CPU #NEXTGEN anyways, there is some noticeable mouse delays when you look around, but overall it looks great. We'd like to be able to modify additional settings, like Mip-Mapping or AA. Textures get mushy with time and the water glare can be a bit weird. In other words I'm very happy with the port team.

There is a slight delay in the mouse's movements However, the overall look is fantastic.

I've noticed the same thing, mouse acceleration is also strange.

It's an unstable port at the present time. It runs on C++ so it runs extremely smooth. It needs some work to be able to accommodate the PC gamers. It seems to be a mobile game at the moment.

I apologize if this seems like a stupid question. But how did you get Windows 10? Did some users get Windows 10 earlier?
